During my many journeys through Australia, I became truly captivated by opals. Australians like to say that once you’ve been “bitten by the opal beetle,” you’re hooked for life. From this deep passion for the land and its mesmerizing gemstones, I’ve gathered a wealth of knowledge that I now share with you.

At Hug Opals, I trade in both rough and polished opals — available individually or in parcels. Upon request, I can also arrange professional valuation reports from renowned Australian opal experts.

Through my trusted partners in Bangkok (Gem Tower, Charoen Krung Road) and Chiang Mai, Thailand’s silversmithing capital, you can also obtain jewelry settings such as chains, clasps, and mounts, or have your stones set in silver. From the raw gem straight from the mine to the finished piece of jewelry — I offer you expertise at every stage.
